Blast From The Past

We cleaned Callie's room this weekend and discovered one of the outfits I wore when I was a baby and just had to do an impromptu photo shoot!  I was 8 months in this picture, and Callie is 9.  It's incredible to see the differences in she and I, she is definitely her Daddy's daughter (and thank the Lord she doesn't have my abnormally large noggin)!  This outfit was made by my Great Aunt, Joanne Stucker.  If only my Daddy were here to see this, his heart would completely melt. :)

Callie Marie 9 Months!

Our little bird is already 9 months old!  She is full of energy, constantly moving and as curious as that curious little monkey, George.   Everything she sees, she has to grab and that little tongue is always sticking out.  Her very favorite thing to say is "Dada,"  and she's is weighing in at 16 lbs 4 ounces!  This month she got her first two teeth and is crawling full throttle, even pulling herself up and standing!!  We think she'll be walking in no time.  Callie is still wearing some 6 month and 6-9 month clothes, a tall skinny thing! Hope you're not on Callie picture overload, I just can't help myself when a camera is laying around.

Valentines Day and Surgery

Two weeks ago I visited a dentist for the first time in a LONG time.  One of my wisdom teeth was coming in and causing quite a bit of pain.  After x-rays and a quick peek the dentist sent me to an oral surgeon to schedule surgery.  The tooth that was making its way in was causing an infection in my gums.

A week later I was being put under for surgery to have all four wisdom teeth removed.  Surgery went well, 3 were impacted but they were able to get them all out with no problems.   We didn't have the timing planned out very well, however, as we had to go out of town the following two days for Josh's grandfather's birthday.  The trip went well but I was in a lot of pain and didn't take any time to properly recover.  Last Wednesday I was having an immense amount of pain and was sick and throwing up during class.  I left work and went in to visit my oral surgeon just to find out that I had gotten dry socket on both sides.  They say you can do everything right and some people will still get it.  Let me tell you.... The pain is unlike anything I've ever felt and I've had a baby! They packed my sockets and I went back to work the next day.  The pain only continued to worsen and I just couldn't take it anymore.  I went back in yesterday to find out that the left side had gotten infected and my jaw was experiencing muscle spasms.  At this point I'm thinking to myself, ok... if it can go wrong, it will!  I sat in the dentist chair clenching my fists to the point of almost cutting through skin with my nails and cried as controlled as I could while they cleaned and repacked my socket dressings.  I am now on antibiotics, muscle relaxers, pain medicine and nausea medicine... I'm a walking pharmacy.  Needless to say, the past week has been absolutely terrible.  I still feel pretty crummy and am doing everything I can to get better soon.  Prayers are appreciated!

Thursday was Callie's first Valentine's Day and she turned 9 months!!  I'll be taking her monthly update pictures today but I had fun outside with her on Valentines Day taking a couple pictures of her with her cute heart outfit on.  Check back soon for her 9 month update post!  I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day and were able to spend it with those you love and care for most.  I know we sure did!
