25 Weeks with Kellan

How far along:  25 weeks 6 days (in the picture)

Total Weight Gain/Loss
: 12lbs

Maternity clothes: I could live in maternity leggings.  And probably will...

Stretch marks: None

Sleep: So good.  There have even been some nights where I can make it all night, but the reflux is starting to kill me.

Best moment last week: This week I celebrated my 28th birthday!  We had these great plans to go out on the town with some close friends, but when Tuesday night happened we had to go to plan B.  All of our friends were able to make it over to our house for a night in.  We all sat around talking and playing some Mario Kart the whole night.  My sweet (favorite) niece was the life of the party making her cheesy faces and we all had such a great time together.  Josh spoiled me on my actual birthday with a beautiful new Coach wallet to match my purse from Christmas and (despite being sick) it was a wonderful day.

Movement: Definitely lots of movement.  This kid likes to punch through my skin.  I even had a dream one night that I was laying down and his little fist pushed until my skin was translucent and I could see every detail of his fist.  That wasn't enough for him though, next his little head popped up and took a look around.  Pregnancy dreams are the weirdest.

Food cravings: None.  Nothing sounds good because my reflux has gotten so bad that everything I eat/drink makes it worse.

Gender: BOY!!!

Labor signs: My cervix length went down with some funneling at my 25 week appointment and I was put on a modified bed rest.  That night, however, my contractions got so much worse.  They were 2-5 minutes apart for over an hour so Josh went ahead and took me in to labor and delivery.  We spent the evening there hooked up to an IV, got two terbutiline injections, some morphine and by the grace of God, my contractions stopped.  I was sent home a few hours later with strict bed rest orders.  I've now been on full bed rest for a week and do my best not to complain.  I mean, really... what is there to complain about?  I finally get to spend time with Callie and I HAVE to lay down all day... Poor me.  :)  It does have it's hard moments, but I am just so thankful that I can be on bed rest at home and not hooked up at the hospital.  Let's pray it continues to stay that way! Our next goal is to hit 28 weeks.

Belly button - in or out? So close to being flat.

What I miss: Honestly?  I really miss my kindergarten students.  Those kids are incredible and I never got to say goodbye.  I miss their smiling faces and hugs in the morning... God blessed me with a wonderful class this year and I really do miss each one of them.

What I am looking forward to: Continuing to decorate Kellan's nursery.  I just ordered some fabric so that I can get started on sewing this really adorable owl pillow!  It sells on ETSY for $42 dollars, but I can make it for less than $15, so why not? :)

Milestones:  Making it out of labor and delivery with baby boy still in my belly.  Prayer works, God listens, and we are so very thankful.
